Myiepclass.com, created by Elite Academic Support Services offers varying pathways to success for students of all ages, learning styles and abilities. We stand firm in the belief that a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to understanding and supporting students will lead to positive changes in their over-all development (self-esteem, motivation, effort, and academic performance).
What is the difference between tutoring (lessons) and educational therapy?
Educational therapy emphasizes the therapeutic relationship between the educational therapist and the student. Educational specialists provide students with strategies to help them to learn how to learn most effectively, often using students’ textbooks and homework as a vehicle for instruction. Our aim is to capitalize on students’ individual strengths while working on their areas of difficulty. In contrast, the term “tutoring” is most often associated with helping a student with specific coursework such as math or English.
What We Offer
We offer a range of in-person and remote educational services to students, including mental health counselling, educational therapy, specialized instruction/intervention, tutoring, executive function coaching, remediation and massage therapy. Located in Rendezvous, Christ Church Barbados, our bachelor's and master's level tutors/therapists/coaches support students in primary, secondary as well as college and university.
Our approach empowers students to learn how to learn, by teaching them executive function strategies, helping them to understand how they learn best, showing them how to use their strengths to accomplish academic tasks, and coaching them in self-advocacy.
Elite Academic Support Services provides additional support to assist students who might otherwise be unable to successfully pass local and regional examinations because of their learning difficulty or challenge.

What is an IEP?
IEP is the acronym for an Individual Education Plan. This is a teaching and learning plan or programme designed for levels of student, from those with learning challenges through to gifted student who may find traditional education "boring". MyiepClass is designed to help them master the National Curriculum, with uniquely designed tools and techniques, developed over time, to help the student succeed. It sets out targets and actions for the student that are different from or additional to the class. Therefore, the skills, content, goals and objectives of the programme as well as the strategies being used to meet that Studnts specific needs are outlined.
What is the purpose of an IEP?
To inform the teacher and others working with the student of specific targets for the child and how these will be reached.
